Eligibility

  • Open to developers, designers, founders, students, and builders worldwide
  • Individuals and teams of up to 4 members may participate
  • Participants must be at least 13 years old (recommended)
  • Projects must be created during the hackathon period
  • No pre-built or previously submitted projects allowed
  • Participants retain full ownership of their intellectual property 

Project and Submission Requirements

To qualify for judging:

  • Your backend must be built using Sub0
  • Your frontend/application should be deployed on LingoQL infrastructure
  • The project must be functional or clearly demonstrable
  • A demo video is required
  • Source code repositories must be accessible to judges
  • Projects should address a real-world use case or problem
  • Teams may contain a maximum of 4 participants

Bonus consideration will be given to:

  • Cross-ecosystem integrations using both LingoQL and Sub0
  • Open-source tools, SDKs, and templates
  • Projects with strong production-readiness and monetization potential

The Zero to Query Hackathon rewards builders with both cash prizes and LingoQL deployment credits to help winning projects continue growing after the event.

All LingoQL credits are valid for 90 days from issuance.

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection

Projects will be evaluated by a panel of judges across four major categories, for a maximum total score of 40 points.

1. Innovation & Creativity (25%)

How original and creative is the idea?

  • Unique problem-solving approach
  • Product differentiation
  • Creative use of technology
2. Technical Implementation (30%)

How well was the project built?

  • Code quality and architecture
  • Functionality and reliability
  • Effective use of LingoQL and Sub0
  • Deployment quality and scalability
3. Practical Utility (25%)

Does the project solve a meaningful real-world problem?

  • Clear target users
  • Business or user value
  • Market relevance
  • Potential for real adoption
4. Presentation & Demo (20%)

How effectively is the project presented?

  • Clarity of pitch
  • Demo quality
  • Documentation quality
  • User experience and storytelling
Bonus Consideration

Additional consideration may be given to:

  • Fully deployed production-ready applications
  • Open-source contributions, SDKs, or reusable templates
  • Cross-ecosystem integrations using both LingoQL and Sub0
  • Projects with strong monetization or startup potential
Winner Selection

Projects with the highest overall scores after judging review will be selected as winners. Judges’ decisions are final.
